BariCare Whey Protein Supplement

    In August, 2008, Robard Corp., a health nutrition company of over 25 years, introduced a new whey protein supplement designed for post bariatric patients. The product is called BariCare, developed from interviewing medical professionals specializing in bariatric nutrition, performing extensive periodical reviews of current nutrition research in bariatrics, and attended industry workshops on nutrition for the bariatric patient. They found that post surgical patients most frequently experience deficiencies in protein, iron, vitamin B12, and vitamin D. Therefore, BariCare has been specially formulated to provide an excellent source of these, in addition to other important nutrients.  Baricare comes in Chocolate, Vanilla, and a Custard /Pudding version, pictured below:

    Baricare is normally sold through bariatric surgeon offices, or weight loss centers. My surgeon has authorized me to be a distributor of this new product with Robard Corp.  On October 21, 2008, I introduced the product to my local bariatric support group. A packet of the chocolate was mixed up, and samples offered to those in attendance. My support group leader, my surgeon's office manager, myself, and 10 others in attendance did a "taste test" to get a group opinion on the product. Everyone who sampled the chocolate Baricare agreed that it tasted good, was not gritty, not sugary, and everyone was impressed how well it tasted. Several who tasted the chocolate agree that it tasted like fudge brownie batter.  The next day I tried the vanilla flavor--tasted slightly vanilla, no after taste, and would lend itself to sugar free additives to make flavors you may like. Lastly I mixed up the custard /pudding packet. It was creamy, no gritty texture, and had the slight flavor of butterscotch. All in all, this is the best tasting protein supplement I've had since my surgery in May 10, 2006.

    High protein levels (20 gr. per serving) with 5000% RDA of B12. You also get about 35-50% RDA levels of the other basic vitamins and minerals.  Pricing is normally $22-25 per pack of 7 servings in bariatric offices.  Internet researches indicate a few bariatric supply centers offering it for $15.95 to $21.95 per 7 servings, averaging about $18.95.  I'm offering BariCare for $15.50 per box of 7 servings.  The Baricare has arrived on 10-30-08.  The container size of the 7 packets is an somewhat odd size, 6 5/16" tall x 5 3/16" wide, x 4 11/16" deep.  4 boxes of Baricare can fit into the standard flat rate box for shipment ($12), and the boxes will be folded for shipment, to allow the 28 packets (4 boxes) to fit.  The LARGE flat rate box ($15) will allow 7 boxes to fit, again with the boxes folded to maximize the amount that can be shipped.   I can also ship 2 boxes of BariCare in a flat rate envelope -- 2 boxes of your choice, flat rate shipment, delivery confirmation and insurance is $35--that's $30 for two boxes of BariCare and only $5 for shipment, arrival in 2-3 days.
